Top 5 Dining and Restaurants Apps on Android in Africa Q3 2022

During the third quarter of 2022, the top dining and restaurant apps on the Android platform in Africa showcased varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads, active users, and revenue metrics for these applications, based on data from Sensor Tower.

KFC Egypt - Order Food Online experienced a notable pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 61K in late June and peaking at approximately 69K in early July. However, downloads saw a gradual decline, ending the quarter at roughly 36K. Despite zero revenue during this period, the app maintained a strong base of weekly active users, fluctuating around 300K to 370K.

McDonald's showed a consistent download rate, with a peak of approximately 52K in the final week of September. Active users started at around 446K in late June, saw some fluctuation, and ended at approximately 340K. Like KFC Egypt, McDonald's did not generate any revenue during this quarter.

KFC South Africa displayed a stable download trend, beginning at about 25K and reaching a high of 28K in the last week of September. Active users remained relatively steady, starting at around 170K and ending the quarter at approximately 186K. No revenue was recorded during this period.

Debonairs Pizza saw fluctuating download numbers, with a notable peak of approximately 23K in late August. Weekly active users ranged from around 52K to 66K, with a peak in late August. The app did not generate any revenue during Q3 2022.

BAZOOKA had a varied download trend, peaking at approximately 12K in mid-September. Active users saw a notable increase from 13K in late June to about 21K in mid-September. Similar to the other apps, BAZOOKA did not record any revenue during this period.
